Division of work: Draw up the development strategy for the city’s industry, put forward the objectives and suggestions on industrial aggregate balance and structural adjustment, as well as the industrial plans and policies on linking and balancing of industries; establish the industry access standards for resource utilization; work out the special development plan for major industrial products; responsible for the development planning and comprehensive balancing of various industrial parks; compile the development plan for the industrial zone around Hangzhou Bay and organize the implementation; map out the development strategy of high-tech industries of the whole city; establish the development strategy of such key high-tech industries as information and new materials together with the relevant departments; establish development plans and annual plans for high-tech industrialization together with the relevant departments and organizations; offer guidance on implementation of major high-tech industrialization projects as well as infrastructural projects related to these high-tech projects; sort out and coordinate the major issues arising out of informatization promotion process and take part in planning of the government information system construction; organize the R & D, industrial upgrading and industrialization demonstration projects relevant to the pre-phase key technology and complete equipment for key high-tech industrialization; responsible for the approval, records and application for approval of industrial and high-tech industrial investment projects; participate in the planning of layout of key industrial projects and proposing the arrangement scheme of municipal fiscal construction funds; undertake the routine work of the Economic Mobilization Office under the city’s National Defense Mobilization Committee
